
- Set the wedding date!
- Book your marriage celebrant and prepare for your first meeting
- Think about who will be in your wedding party (chief bridesmaid, best man, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc.)
- Think about the style of ceremony you would like (eg: religious, non-religious, formal, semi-formal, casual, thematic, etc.)
- Book the venue if necessary
Note: Central Coast Council requires you to inform them if you plan to have your ceremony in a public space within this local government area. Please note that a fee will be charged; see the website of Central Coast Council.
- Decide on the bridal gown, bridesmaids’ outfits and suits
- Work on your invitation list
- Organise a photographer and/or video operator
- Organise cars
- Organise music or musicians
- Organise floral arrangements for the wedding party, as well as for family members
- Plan your honeymoon: begin reservations and check if passports or visas are required
- Finalise the invitation list
- Select the stationery and have it printed
- Consider a Gift List or Bridal Registry
- Choose your wedding rings
- Send out invitations
- Book a hairdresser and make-up artist
- Compile a confirmed guest list
- Finalise full payment of celebrant’s fee at the wedding rehearsal
- You may wish to give everyone in your bridal party a special gift
- Confirm arrangements with the caterer, photographers, travel agent, etc.
- Relax and enjoy your day
